Mixpanel integration

In short

Query saved reports, funnels, retention and user profiles. Connect it on the Integrations page; your app then calls Mixpanel through Sapilon without ever holding a Mixpanel credential.

Lets your app read saved Mixpanel reports, query event segmentation, funnels and retention, and look up user profiles.

Connecting

On the Integrations page choose Connect on Mixpanel and fill in:

  • Data residency — mixpanel.com (US), eu.mixpanel.com or in.mixpanel.com.
  • Service account username — Mixpanel → Organization settings → Service accounts → Add service account.
  • Service account secret — Shown once when you create the service account. Give it the Analyst role on the project.

Sapilon checks the key with the provider before it saves it, and stores it encrypted; it is never shown again.

What your app can do

Only these requests are available; anything else is refused.

  • GET /app/me
  • GET /query/insights
  • GET /query/segmentation
  • GET /query/funnels
  • GET /query/retention
  • POST /query/engage

How the agent uses it

Use integrations.request('mixpanel', …); paths are relative to https://<host>/api.

Every query needs project_id in query.

  • GET /app/me — the service account and the projects it can see.
  • GET /query/insights — a saved report: query: { project_id: '123', bookmark_id: '456' }.
  • GET /query/segmentation — Example: { method: 'GET', path: '/query/segmentation', query: { project_id: '123', event: 'Signed up', from_date: '2026-10-01', to_date: '2026-10-15', unit: 'day' } }.
  • GET /query/funnels (funnel_id), GET /query/retention.
  • POST /query/engage — user profiles, form-encoded: body: { where: 'properties["plan"] == "pro"' }.

Read-only.
