Wallet and top-ups

In short

Sapilon runs on one prepaid wallet that AI points, AWS hosting and expert time all draw from; the first 50 Build Server hours are free, there is no subscription and no seats, and the balance cannot go negative.

Everything in Sapilon is paid from a single prepaid wallet. No subscription, no per-seat licence, no annual commitment.

What draws from it

Draw What it is
AI points Agent work; see points
AWS hosting The Rehearsal and Live Servers, while they exist
Build Server €1 an hour, after your organisation’s first 50 free hours
Expert time Human review and hands-on work, priced by job size

Topping up

Top up from the billing surface at any time. A gift card from Sapilon adds to the same wallet.

VAT and invoices

Prices on the pricing page exclude VAT. A top-up adds its amount before VAT to your wallet, and checkout adds VAT on top where it applies:

You are VAT on a top-up
In the Netherlands, business or not 21%
An EU business outside the Netherlands, with a VAT ID None: reverse charge, you account for it
Anyone else in the EU 21%, Dutch VAT
Outside the EU None

Invoice details on the Billing page hold the name, address and VAT ID that go on your invoices. Add them before your first top-up. A VAT ID is checked against the EU’s VIES register first, which usually takes seconds; a top-up waits until the check passes. If it fails, fix the number, or remove it and top up with VAT.

Every top-up gets a numbered VAT invoice, sent by email and listed under Transactions, where the document icon opens the PDF. When unused balance is refunded, the VAT you paid on it comes back too, with a credit note.

The balance cannot go negative

When the wallet runs out, work stops rather than accruing a debt. That is the deliberate trade: you can never be surprised by an invoice, but you can be interrupted mid-flow if you let the balance run down.

To avoid that: set an alert threshold so you are warned before it happens, and top up before starting a long piece of work like a data-migration drill.

Watching where it goes

Usage is itemised by project, by kind of draw, and by date. A project’s dashboard shows its own consumption, so “why did last week cost that much” is a question with an answer rather than an argument.

Stopping the meter

Hosting costs run while a Rehearsal or Live environment exists. If a project is paused, tearing down its environment stops that draw; points are only spent when the agent actually works. The Build Server stops itself about ten minutes after you stop working; past your first 50 free hours, that is also when its time is charged.
